Story Bites takes place every morning, Tuesday - Friday, in the Story Cafe.
Come and join us for a storytelling session with picture books, games, props and lots of joining in. Whether it is a Giant Jam Sandwich, Handas Fruit Salad Surprise or even Tea with a tiger, we are sure there will be something to whet your appetite!

Could you be a zoologist and discover the animals living all around us? We will spend the morning exploring the nature reserve and find out who lives here - from the watery depths of the pond to the leafy hidaways up in the trees.

Children's Workshop: Zoologist for an afternoon, 28th September 2019, 13:00 to 15:00 at Sutton Courtenay Environmental Education Centre (23.7 miles)
Search out the animals on our wild and beautiful nature reserve and record your findings to help the scientists who study them. Activities will include checking the mammal traps for little furry beasties, seeing who's been out on the reserve after dark and completing your own wildlife survey.

The Ember Big Band Show, 12th October 2019, 20:00 at The Hammond Theatre, Hampton (14.6 miles)
23 musicians and three talented singers perform in styles and tempos ranging from the Great American Songbook to Swing, Latin, Rock and Funk. Watford Swimming Club meet at Watford Central Baths, Hempstead Road, Watford (9.6 miles)
Watford Swimming and Water Polo Club was established in 1901 and is based in central Watford. Originally meeting at the river in the lower part of Watford, near Bushey Arches. They moved to Watford Central Baths which at the time was the only municipal covered pool in the county until after the war. The Club is affiliated to the "Southern Counties Amateur Swimming Association" and the "Hertfordshire Amateur Swimming Association". There is also a polo club which is affiliated to L.W.P.L, SCASA and the Herts ASA. Watford's colours are Red and Blue.
